Social Life

Last year, Derby Hall played host to undoubtedly some of the best parties on campus. We staged the funkiest 70's party this side of Boogie nights and the Xmas bash, which featured an indoor snow-machine and inflatable pugel-fighting
Last year Derby eclipsed the other halls by hosting the man of the moment, Radio 1's Judge Jules (An effort we hope to top, this year).  If a 22 kW Disco doesn't tickle your fancy there's always the cheesy disco, ABBA, Karaoke and lots of pulling to be done.
The bar is cheap with regular drink promotions; it has its own CD's with a sound system. If you get bored of the bars CD's bring your own to be played.
The JCR has SKY with most of the channels except Swedish ones and ones with sheep! We often get Box-office films and some pay-per-view sports. There's a dartboard, pool table, arcade and quiz machines. In addition there are two computer suites in hall solely for use by you the JCR.
